Chris brings a wealth of experience to the table. Having started his career with the Inland Revenue before moving into financial services with a major life insurance company, Chris eventually became the Deputy Chairman of the company’s marketing group.
He also spent eight years working in New York looking at companies in the United States with working practices that could be appropriate for the UK. On his return to the UK in 1997, Chris used this knowledge to start up Futurity, which grew to become a highly successful business with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, before selling the company in December 2006.
In July 2008, Chris founded Innovate Financial Services, which was acquired by Progeny in 2019. He retains the passion and principles with which he started the company and is always looking for ways to improve.
Chris currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Financial Services Marketing, has lectured students at Edinburgh University and formed part of the degree approval board at Napier University, and is a panel member of the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust.
