Stuart joined the business in May 2020 when his law firm, Eastons, was acquired by Progeny.
He has a wide range of experience in private legal client matters in Scotland such as Wills, Powers of Attorney, Grants of Confirmation, Trusts and Guardianship Orders. He has extensive experience in providing complex inheritance tax and succession planning advice for wealthy individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs. Stuart is also an expert in the administration of high value and complex estates, including those with an overseas element.
Having spent seven years at one of Scotland’s largest and best known law firms, Biggart Baillie, Stuart started his own law firm in 2010. He has twice been shortlisted for Specialist Lawyer of the Year at the Scottish Legal Awards, whilst his firm was also nominated for Private Client Team of the Year.
Over the years, Stuart has also been a tutor at Glasgow University, teaching postgraduate law students all they need to know about Wills and other exciting topics that take his fancy.
In his spare time Stuart likes spending time with his wife and young daughter and is also a devoted follower of Scottish football.
