James Cole

James joined Progeny in April 2026 as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and is based out of our Leeds office. He brings over 13 years’ experience in Financial Services, including the last seven years building and developing high‑performing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions.

At Progeny, James is focused on developing FP&A into a trusted, integral partner for stakeholders across the wider business, delivering strategic insight through robust and resilient planning and analysis. This collaborative approach draws on input from all areas of the Group to support informed decision‑making.

James’ qualifications include Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Outside of work, James is kept busy by his eight‑year‑old daughter. When he does find spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, particularly the downhill sections, and working on the restoration of his car.
