David Foster

Financial Planner
Cambridge

Based in our Bury St Edmunds office, David has nearly two decades of experience working in financial services and is able to support clients across the Suffolk and Cambridge area. He started his career in financial planning after a previous career as a professional golfer.

David works with personal clients on all aspects of their finances, including preparing for retirement with pre- and post-retirement advice, general investment solutions, and their wider estate planning. His favourite part of being a financial planner is having the opportunity to sit down and talk to clients about their situation, family and ambitions for their future and discuss ways in which he can help.

David has a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, alongside Mortgage & Equity Release qualifications, as well as Discretionary Fund Management. David is actively working towards Chartered status and anticipates achieving this during 2026.

Outside of work, spending time with his family is David’s priority. He spends as much time as possible with his two teenage daughters, while they still tolerate of his presence! He also enjoys traveling with his family, tries to look after himself by starting most weekdays in the gym and still enjoys playing golf.
