David joined the Progeny Group Board in June 2025 and is also on the Board of Utmost Life and Pensions and Chairs their Risk and Compliance Committee.

An economist by background, David has held a variety of senior risk and compliance roles in both the private and public sector, including in Supervision and Risk roles at the Financial Services Authority and as Head of Practice at the Financial Ombudsman Service. David’s executive career included being on the Executive team at Pearl Group Ltd (now Phoenix Life), the Chief Compliance Officer at Direct Line Group and the Group Chief Risk Officer at AXA UK and Ireland.

Throughout his career, David has held several Non-Executive Board roles across regulated entities. David also spent the first 10 years of his career in International Development, including a three-year period as the Government’s Chief Economist in the Solomon Islands in the early 1990s.
