Helping You Plan for a Confident Retirement
With over 40 years of experience in financial services and more than 22 years as a financial adviser, Ian is a Chartered Financial Planner who specialises in helping individuals and families build confidence in their financial future. His expertise includes pre-retirement and retirement planning, pensions, and inheritance tax planning, supporting clients in making informed decisions at every stage of life.
Based in Norfolk and attached to the Cambridge office, Ian primarily works with clients across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and beyond through remote video meetings. This flexible approach allows him to support clients wherever they are located, providing the same high level of service regardless of geography.
A Relationship Built on Trust and Honest Advice
Ian believes that successful financial planning is about far more than investment performance. At its heart, it is about building long-term, trusted relationships that provide guidance and support through life’s many changes and decisions.
His approach is honest, straightforward and entirely client-focused. Clients can expect integrity, transparency and a genuine commitment to helping them achieve their goals. Over time, Ian aims to become a trusted adviser and sounding board, offering objective advice and a steady hand as circumstances evolve.
Ian works closely with pre-retirees, retirees, professionals, and families who want clarity about their financial position and reassurance that they are on track to achieve their long-term goals. One of the most rewarding aspects of his role is helping clients realise that retirement may be closer and more achievable than they once believed.
Experience Beyond Financial Planning
Before joining Progeny, Ian spent more than a decade as a Director of a financial planning firm, gaining valuable leadership experience alongside his work with clients. He joined Progeny to continue focusing on what he enjoys most: helping people make confident financial decisions and achieve meaningful life goals.
Outside of work, Ian has a passion for travel. Having lived in Australia for a year earlier in life, he has since visited more than 50 countries. Closer to home, he enjoys spending time with his two rescue dogs, exploring the Norfolk coastline and making the most of long walks by the sea.
