Tom Hill

Tom began his professional journey with a degree in Sports Biomedicine before moving into the maritime industry. He went on to build a successful career as captain of an ocean‑going sailing vessel, operating on a global itinerary.

During more than a decade at sea, Tom worked closely with high net worth clients, developing trusted relationships and a strong understanding of responsibility, risk management and long‑term decision making. This experience translates naturally into his work in financial planning, where client service, trust and attention to detail are essential.

Tom now brings a highly client‑focused approach to his role within Progeny’s financial planning team. He is passionate about building long‑term partnerships and supporting clients throughout every stage of their financial journey. He has experience helping individuals navigate complex financial decisions and is skilled at overcoming logistical challenges to deliver clear, practical outcomes.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys an active lifestyle and regularly seeks out new outdoor adventures. He spends much of his time exploring Scotland with his family in their campervan. Whether skiing, hiking or taking on home improvement projects, he thrives on challenge, variety and continuous learning.
