Darren McMillan

Chartered Financial Planner
Edinburgh
903-1-2

With 10 years of experience in financial planning, Darren McMillan is passionate about helping clients gain clarity and confidence around their financial future.

Darren began his career with Balmoral Asset Management and joined Progeny following the acquisition of Carbon Financial Partners. Over the years, he has built his practice around long-term relationships, believing that truly effective financial advice starts with understanding the person behind the portfolio. He takes pride in building trusted partnerships with his clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed at every stage of their journey.

As a Chartered Financial Planner, Darren creates personalised financial plans designed to help individuals and families make the most of the wealth they have worked so hard to build. His advice covers investment planning, retirement strategy, tax-efficient structuring and passing wealth to the next generation. By simplifying complex financial decisions and keeping plans aligned with what matters most to his clients, he helps them enjoy their wealth with confidence and peace of mind.

Darren works primarily with private clients and business owners, focusing on holistic, relationship-led planning, ensuring advice remains highly tailored and personal.

Outside of work, Darren enjoys cooking, staying active and dipping in and out of rugby — typically as the weather gets too cold.
