Leeds-based professional services company, Progeny, is repeating its successful summer school programme for 16 to 18 year olds. Launched last year, it’s designed to give an insight into working within a financial services setting.
The five-day schedule involves interactive sessions with experts within Progeny’s various departments involved within financial planning, to give the students a taste of the opportunities available within the sector. It will also offer skill-based sessions to help prepare students for the world of work, including CV writing and interview skills workshops.
Running from 7th to 11th August 2023, the programme is open to 16 to 18 year old students based in or around the Leeds area, who are interested in learning more about a career in financial services.
Head of Advice Quality, Sarika Dhanjal comments:
“I’m delighted that Progeny is making this opportunity an annual event. Last year was our first experience of hosting a summer school and we had such positive feedback from our attendees.
“Financial services is not the most visible career option for students, especially young women, so we want to help change that and our programme is timed to coincide with when students are making a decision about their future direction.”
Those aged between 16-18, who would like to attend the summer school to find out more about working within financial services, can access the application form here.
Attendees would need to be available to come into Leeds city centre from August 7th-11th, 9.30am-3.30pm each day. The application deadline is 1st July.
