Progeny’s Adviser Academy has opened the application process for six new associate planners to join its September intake.
The three-year course will result in Chartered status and offers a robust training programme that helps academy associates to develop a deeper understanding of what holistic financial planning really means, while providing exposure to a wide range of additional skills and experiences essential in client-facing roles.
Applicants can be both internal and external to Progeny but must hold a level 4 qualification as a minimum and ideally be working towards Chartered status. Financial services or paraplanning experience is desirable but career changers will also be considered.
Progeny’s Academy was recently relaunched with a single, annual intake to help ensure a more consistent learning experience.
The first two years of the programme are focused on the associate planners gaining a developed understanding of the different areas of the business and working towards attaining competence to meet regulatory requirements, whilst developing their client facing skills. Each candidate will also be allocated a dedicated role model who they will spend their first year observing.
Year three then sees the associates bring everything they have learned together and discover how to build their client base.
Gemma Schofield, Academy Supervisor, comments:
“We’re really excited to offer the opportunity for six more people to join our academy. Since it launched in April 2019, we’ve worked hard to continue to evolve and refine Progeny’s unique academy experience, which above all offers a really safe learning environment for financial planners at the very start of their journey into the world of advice. As well as support with studies to achieve those all-important qualifications, we also have a real focus on the soft skills required to create truly well-rounded professionals.”
Neil Moles, CEO of Progeny, added:
“As a company, we are committed to nurturing talent to create the next generation of professionals. The Progeny Adviser Academy was set up to offer structured career pathways and opportunities but also to recognise and develop the individual skills and characteristics of all academy students on their unique journeys. I’m looking forward to welcoming our six new associate planners and to watching their careers flourish.”
Applications close on 1 August and once the applications have been vetted, the successful candidates will be invited to an assessment day later in August.
